Jean Anne Cheret worked at 85 Rue des Deux Ecus, in Paris (France) between 1786 and 1812. Cheret was a supplier to the Revolutionary Government and was appointed Gunmaker to Joseph Napolon Bonaparte, the elder brother of Napoleon Bonaparte. He was the King of Naples and Sicily from 1806 to 1808 and later became the King of Spain from 1808 to 1813. After 1813 the company became known as Cheret et fils (Cheret and Son).
