It is almost full stocked with two ram rod pipes and a brass nose cap extending to 8" from the muzzle

This is a good example of the iconic German Gewehr 1888 "Commission Rifle", also known as the Gewehr 88, or GEW 88. It was manufactured at the Amberg Imperial Arsenal, located in Amberg, Bavaria, and then and then saw long service, as indicated by the large number of different markings on the gun. There were German regimental markings on the lower band, but they have been stamped out so they are no longer legible.
